YOUR JOURNEY IS YOURS
Privacy policy.

GPX Follow does not require an account or include usage analytics. It uses location on your iPhone to show your position and record tracks when you choose.
Location and recording
With your permission, GPX Follow processes location, heading, and speed information to display your position and GPS status. Tracking mode keeps the map centred on you. If you start recording, location points, elevation, and timestamps are saved on your device.
Active recording uses background location so it can continue while the screen is locked or another app is open. Recording ends when you stop it or turn tracking off.
Files and recovery drafts on your device
Imported GPX and GeoJSON files are copied into the app’s local Tracks folder. Saved recordings are stored there as GPX files. Recording recovery drafts are also stored on your device so captured points can be offered for saving after an interruption.
These files are not uploaded to a GPX Follow server. You can manage saved files through Saved tracks or the Files app. Choosing Quit in the recovered-recording prompt discards that recovered draft. Your device’s backup arrangements may also apply to locally stored app data.
Settings and app usage
The app stores preferences such as speed units and your chosen navigation app on your device. It does not include advertising or usage-analytics tracking, and it does not require you to create a profile.
Maps, navigation, and file providers
The map uses Apple MapKit. When you choose Navigate for a track’s start or end, that destination coordinate is passed to Apple Maps or Google Maps to request driving directions. Those services operate under their own privacy policies.
If you open a file from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider’s service and privacy practices apply. Exporting a GPX file lets you choose a destination; any service or person you share it with can receive the locations it contains.
Support and external links
If you email support, we receive the address and information you include. Only send route files, screenshots, or other location information if you want to share them for support. External websites linked from this site, including gpx.studio and the App Store, have their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app. The date above identifies the latest revision.
